Host/Hostess

Under the following requirements:

Role:

To welcome the customer upon arrival and ensure that seating requirements are met. To provide information regarding Food & Beverage descriptions, promotions, wine, etc.

Responsibilities:

• To ensure the high standards of service in the restaurant.
• Responsible for the satisfaction of the guests with the service offered and the F&B that is ordered and presented to them, within the restaurant.
• To initiate and maintain timely recording of all bookings to follow up on them. Liaise with the Restaurant Manager.
• To assist in the service of a quality F&B product to customers.
• To assist in the development of F&B products and service.
• To answer guest requests and resolve guest problems.

Requirements:

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and English.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes and proper preparation.
• Learn the facilities of the hotel and the daily events and functions, to satisfy guest inquiries and briefings.
• Advise Outlet Manager of guest complaints or comments.
